The Gryfters: The Big Boys On The Block
As said before, New Brunswick is a city bursting with talent. Continuing the trend from Holy City Zoo, is the massive band with the massive talent: The Gryfters.

The Gryfters, undergoing a name change from “The Grifters,” possesses six members: Olaf (singer), Tim (guitarist), Chris (guitarist), Sam (bassist), Dan (drummer), Eric (miscellaneous). Being a six-member band with most of them being well over 6-feet tall, The Gryfters give a new meaning to the term “stage presence.” Their large number of members also lends itself well to a big, complex sound rich with multiple influences and genres.

All members of the band grew up together in the small town of Hopatcong, New Jersey. After a failed attempt with a previous band called Le Strums, they started The Gryfters. Their sound is a jack-of-all-trades. With influences ranging from the pounding Black Sabbath to the softer tunes of Bob Dylan, they have a song for music listeners of all genres, from hard rock to reggae.
The Gryfters have been touring at places such as the National Underground, Stone Pony, and the Stanhope House; bringing a mass of rowdy fans with them. The band is now spending some time recording in the studio and will be part of a compilation CD that will release throughout most of the Asian continent and Australia.

Big things are happening for this big band and I wish them a big mass of luck their way!
